Posted in the topic Accidents involving electric scooters or cyclists - who is to blame? in the forum Services

Curious to hear your take on this. I had a bit of a situation the other day — I was driving through downtown, pretty slow, lots of traffic, and suddenly this guy on an electric scooter shot out from between two parked cars right in front of me. I managed to brake in time, but honestly, it was super close. Made me wonder — if I hadn’t stopped in time and we collided, who would’ve been considered at fault? It all happened so fast, I don’t even know how the rules apply with scooters or cyclists in these cases. Feels like the lines are kinda blurry with all these e-scooters popping up everywhere. Anyone dealt with something like that or know how liability works with this stuff?
