    Yeah, I totally get what you mean. Those electric scooters seem to come out of nowhere sometimes. I actually had a similar thing happen last summer, but in my case, I wasn’t as lucky — a cyclist clipped my side mirror when weaving through traffic, and of course, they didn’t stop. I ended up digging into the rules after that because I had no clue who was actually responsible. Turns out, it’s not always black and white — depends on where it happened, what the traffic situation was like, and whether the rider was following the rules.

    If you ever end up in an accident with a cyclist or scooter rider, it’s a good idea to check your options legally, especially because insurance can get tricky. I came across 99 legal when I was trying to figure things out — they’ve got decent info on stuff like this and how to deal with it properly.
