Like most the players, I am really excited for WotLK and have been trying to do some prep for professions.
So do you want to know what herbs to be stockpiling for milling or for other reasons? What should be investing in other than WotLK Classic Gold? Well, keep reading.
1. Stock up on extra Peacebloom and Silverleaf. These are used for the Minor Inscription Research cooldown, which teaches you 1 of 64 minor glyphs. You'll need to use that ability 64 times to learn them all.
2. Vellums will have a market with regular players wanting to mail mats to a guild enchanting and enchanters themselves wanting to sell on the auction house. But every scribe can make vellums, which will reduce their value. Focus on your research cooldowns and hope you get an in-demand glyph with less competition.
3. Northrend herbs require 325+ skill to mill. You can get to 325-375 at level 50. You only need level 65 to go all the way to 450. That said, Dalaran doesn't open up via questing until level 74 so if staying at level 70 for a while plan to get a level 75+ mage to portal you to Dalaran.
Note you can only skill up to 360 during pre-patch. You'll run out of skill-giving recipes and will need Northrend herbs to go beyond 360. Not a big deal, just be aware.
4. Using your boost on a profession alt isn’t stupid IMO. I’ll be boosting a 70 druid for farming bc I went engi on my main druid for min maxing reasons and gathering on a druid is just OP.
5. For Inscription tho, I’m probably just gonna use a DK… leveling from 55 to 65 is super easy, esp with JJ XP buff. So I’m probably doing a DK just for crafting profs/cooldowns and one to actually play
