Posted in the topic Schwinn team jersey? in the forum Off-Topic Discussions

I just picked up this jersey and it's long sleeved mate from the junk shop. I was never really a Schwinn fan and didn't understand why they were so popular in my neck of the woods. But I couldn't resist these. The Charlie tuna on the back is ridiculous and made me smile.

I know Schwinn was more of an American thing, so maybe this isn't the right place to ask this... Did Schwinn actually have a team back in the 90's and does anyone know what year this might be from?

Posted in the topic Shop concrete floor/foundation in the forum Off-Topic Discussions
    February 23, 2026 5:11 AM EST

Working on building a stick frame insulated shop this summer. For a 60x60 with 20’ finished walls I was quoted foundation spec:
    ▪ To supply layout and excavate as required
    ▪ Form and pour 24” x 8” strip footing c/w reinforcement
    ▪ Form and pour 4’ x 8” concrete wall c/w reinforcement as required, ICF forms, 25mpa
    ▪ compact 12`` of gravel for floor prep
    ▪ Supply and install two drain sumps
    ▪ Place and finish 5`` floor slab with 30mpa concrete c/w 10mil bar on 12” centers
    ▪ Prep, place and broom finish 32mpa 20’ x 60’ x 5” apron at overhead doors c/w 10m reinforcement 12” centres

    Labour $60,000
    Cement (trucks, mix, pump) $32,000
Gravel for base, I have to supply.

Does this seem in line with what others are seeing? Is there a cheaper way to go about this?

Dropping the outside apron saves about $10,000 total. Maybe it’s not worth it.

If I go pole building, can it be sealed up adequately to keep mice out, and what would a similar square footage floor cost?

I have read past threads about guys going with 6” and 8” concrete, will the 5” 30mpa be adequate?

Posted in the topic On the Creation of a Marijuana-scented Aroma in the forum Off-Topic Discussions
    February 20, 2026 4:32 AM EST

    Greetings!
My name is Capo and a rather ambitious project I have been wanting to tackle for years is the creation of a fragrance that captures that highly green, floral, citrus, pine-like ethereal aroma of fresh marijuana. Here are some resources I have discovered on that journey: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4684335/In this rudimentary research I have found that the most important compounds in capturing the very essence of my project are terpenes, most notably
    alpha-pinene and beta-pinene
    limonene
    myrcene
    linalool
    caryophyllene
    humulene
    alpha bisabolol

    and in smaller amounts, esters.

In trying to achieve this, what are some blends and proportions one would recommend? Also, does anyone know any good ways to make terpenes soluble in water?

I just leave the supply chain options unchecked and manually mark it when corn or beans are delivered. That keeps the plans cleaner and easier to adjust later if needed.
