This medication is not recommended for use by pregnant women, as it may harm the fetus. Zopiclone is excreted into breast milk and may have harmful effects in infants. Do not take this medication during late pregnancy unless the benefits outweigh the risks. This medication should not be used after labour as it can cause withdrawal symptoms in newborns.

It is important to tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding or plan to do so. Small amounts of this medication pass into breast milk. Your doctor should discuss the risks and benefits of taking this medication when you are breastfeeding.
