QuickBooks Error code 6177, 0 and how can I fix it?

    You will get QuickBooks Error code 6177, 0 when QuickBooks is not able to access the company file by following the path. It can occur due to many reasons, issues with the installation of the Quickbooks or It is caused by the Windows firewall. If you are finding the fix, follow the instructions below for the same:

    Fix the path for your company file.

    • On the server computer open the file explorer. 

    • In the search box, search for the QuickBooks folder.It should be in this format - [MyCompanyFileName].qbw.nd.

    • Right click on the ND file and click on the delete button. 

    Be at ease, the steps above will not affect your company file.
