In addition to the usual dose of bullets and fights, the creators of the franchise add consistency to a story that confirms to be in very good health. We saw the movie and this is our comment
Based on the assumption that all the fans of the " John Wick " saga come to see its new installments in search of confrontations, shots and deaths, what could be added to this action franchise to reinforce the loyalty it generates, but, above all, , to attract new audience? The answer could be to give consistency to the story, relying on characters much deeper than those seen so far. The script written by Shay Hatten, Michael Finch and Derek Kolstad achieves it, but it is perhaps the direction of Chad Stahelski that is mainly responsible for the fourth installment being the best of all. And that is what we will explain next.
At the close of the third installment, our protagonist was nearly 'resurrected' from the dead by the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne). The 'lord of evil', we assume from the beginning of this fourth part, has cured, cared for and fed John Wick after he was shot by Winston (Ian McShane) and fell from the roof of the Continental Hotel in New York .
“John Wick 4″ opens precisely with a fiery and egocentric speech from the 'lord of evil' while in the background someone from behind is seen practicing blows on a vertical base. Is it time for our suit-and-tie superhero to get back to what he does best? Here comes the first transition, the first displacement. Now, the hit man goes through the desert attacking villains who make it difficult for him, although -as has always happened- they end up falling. Wick has followed a recovery process that shows him to be quite agile, but above all very precise when shooting without the distance or the number of ammunition being a problem.
