يتم اقامة العزل المائي عن طريق تركيب الواح عازلة للحرارة في البداية لتحمي الاسطح من حرارة الشمس في فصل الصيف، ومن الضروري ان يتم عمل العزل مباشرة بعد الانتهاء من الهيكل الانشائي، مع التاكد من نظافة الاسطح حيث يتم دهانها بطبقة من البيتومين تمهيدا لتركيب الالواح العازلة للحرارة بحيث تكون متلاصقة باحكام ويفضل تركيبها بطريقة الوصلات حيث يتم وضع شريط لاصق من الالومنيوم حيث يتم صب طبقة من الخرسانة حيث تعمل علي حماية الالواح العازلة للحرارة بعد الانتهاء من تركيبها حيث يتم صب طبقة من الخرسانة الرغوية بطبقة من البيتومين تمهيدا لتركيب رولات العازل المائي ويتم تركيبها علي السطح باستخدام لحام اللهب الموقد، حيث يتم وضع 10سنتيمتر لكل رول حيث يتم تثبيته بالارض جيدا ثم يتم بعد ذلك فحص العازل المائي جيدا قبل اقامة طريقة الاغمار بالماء حيث يتم سد جميع فتحات المرازيب باستخدام سدادات لكي تعمل علي منع تسرب الماء نهائيا، مع الحرص علي الحفاظ علي مستوي الماء ثابت، ثم يتم بعد ذلك تركيب كاشي فوق طبقة الحماية الاسمنتية لكي تعمل علي زيادة حماية طبقات العازل المائي، ويجب الحرص علي اقامة العزل المائي علي الاسطح لمنع تسرب المياه،ويجب ان يتم اقامة العزل ست درجات لكي يتم حماية الاسطح، حيث ان العزل يساعد علي حماية الاسطح من درجات الحرارة المرتفعة، وحماية الاسطح من الرطوبة العالية في فصل الشتاء، حيث تعمل تسرب المياه الذي قد يؤدي الي حدوث شروخ او تشققات وفواصل في المباني، لذلك يتم عمل العزل جيدا لاقامته لمنع تسرب المياه جيدا، لحماية اللمبني من التشققات
