Representing the World Class Athlete Program (WCAP) will be Augustus Maiyo, fresh off his 15th-place finish at the IAAF World 1/2 Marathon Championships; Robert Cheseret, who finished 5th and 3rd, respectively this fall in the US 20k and US 5k championships; Joseph Chirlee, who was 4th at the US 20k; and Kyle Heath, who will competing for the first time the fall. Competing on the All-Army team will be Edwin Sang and Kenny Foster.While the soldiers will be competing across the country, other ADP members will be competing at home where Colorado Springs hosts the USA Track & Field Colorado Association Cross Country Champions. Representing the adidas/Boulder Running Company will be Brandon Birdsong, Sean Brown, Mack McLain, Matt Levassiur, Stephanie Bylander, Mattie Suver, Christie Foster and Brianne Nelson, while Anthony Mallory will be competing unattached.________________________________________________________________USOC Physiologist Dr. Randy Wilber Added To American Distance Summit Lecture Staff; USATF Offers Level 3 Credit(Charlotte, NC) – Dr. Randy Wilber, Senior Sports Physiologist of the US Olympic Committee, has been added to the lecture staff at the ADP American Distance Summit to be held in Charlotte, NC, January 5-6, 2013. The fifth year edition of the Summit will have a focus on middle distance events and Wilber will join featured coaches Frank “Gags” Gagliano and Ryan Ponsonby, as well as Bart Sessa.Wilber, who is widely recognized for his research, lecturing and publishing, will present on the topic of “Overtraining: Causes, Recognition and Prevention.” Gagliano, a legend in the sport, is currently the coach of the New Jersey/New York Track Club and formerly headed up the resurgent Oregon Track Club.
