Recently, I have been thinking how much bridge construction equipment has changed due to technology. These days, we have automated launching systems, GPS-guided cranes, and sensor-based monitoring tools that promise increased safety and accuracy. But is this technology truly helpful on-site, or does it occasionally make things too complicated?
What piece of equipment has most impressed you, if you have worked on bridge projects or closely watched them? Do you still prefer hands-on experience or do you trust smart systems more than traditional machinery? And where do you anticipate the equipment used in bridge construction to go over the next five to ten years? Tell us what you think.
