Hi everyone,
I’ve recently started a D&D campaign and I’m struggling to find creative dragonborn names that feel authentic and epic. I’ve seen a lot of generic lists online, but I want something more unique.
Does anyone have favorite resources for dragonborn names? I’m curious if others have used it or have additional suggestions for generating dragonborn names that really fit a character’s backstory. I’d love tips for both male and female dragonborn names. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
One effective method is to construct dragonborn names from syllables that evoke “dragon-like” sounds, combining hard consonants like K, V, or Th with flowing vowels and strong endings. Connecting names to a clan, family history, or elemental trait can make them even more meaningful, and saying them out loud ensures they feel imposing in-game.
