This is for Pool owners.
Recently bought a home with pool. It was tenanted and pool was maintained(monthly service) by some local pool shop. I was about to schedule a handover session and this guys convincing me to take monthly maintenance plan.
Though i am noob on pool, i am confident i can manage this on my own. (Just for satisfaction and to save some bucks as well).
Just curious, how hard it is to maintain pool, like cleaning and adding salts on your own, after initial leaning curve.
Is t worth to take monthly maintenance plan, looks like its around $110 per month.
Thanks.
It depends a lot on what equipment you have got and how many leaves you get in the pool. In general I would say it isn't super hard, and probably not worth paying for a monthly service. It might be worth paying for a visit from your local pool shop to show you how everthing works and how do your own maintenance, and go from there.
My pool is automated for filtration, chlorine and acid and I have a robot to clean it so for me it is very little work.
Maintaining a pool is not that hard, but make sure you at least see some tutorials on how to do it. You can't just do random things. I maintain my pool, and I use AquaDoc chemicals. It's nice when you don't have to spend money on maintenance.
