Meet Eric Mahleb - Your Expert in the Field
My name is Eric Mahleb, and I'm not just another person talking about stress; I've lived through the harrowing experience of not one but two burnouts. Over the past decade, I've dedicated my life to understanding the complexities of stress, burnout, and resilience. My expertise is grounded in three distinct ways:
I have spent ten years working as a coach and trainer for change and transformation. This experience has allowed me to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, helping them overcome challenges, and regain control of their lives.
I'm currently in the process of obtaining certifications as a life and health coach. My toolkit also includes certifications in various therapeutic techniques, such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Positive Neuroplasticity, Emotional Intelligence, and Mindfulness. These credentials equip me with a deep understanding of the human mind and the tools to bring about positive change.
As I mentioned earlier, I've battled through two burnouts, and I'm still living with the residual symptoms of these experiences. My journey is a testament to the fact that I've been where you are. I understand the impact that chronic stress can have on your health, work, and private life, and I've come out stronger on the other side.
My Personal Story: From Burnout to Resilience
My personal story of burnout began nine years ago. At that time, I was running a small digital agency in Berlin, but financial problems, compounded by stress and personal issues, took a toll on my well-being. To make matters worse, a bacterial infection triggered a cascade of health problems, including chronic fatigue, pain, and erratic blood sugar levels. My life became a struggle, and for several months, I was far from functioning "normally."
Despite visiting numerous doctors, I found few answers to my condition. I learned to live with a range of symptoms, accepting that this was my new normal. I didn't change my lifestyle or beliefs significantly, attempting to solve my problems solely through cognitive means. In essence, I didn't solve them at all.
Fast forward to today, and I'm in a much better place. I've learned to cope with stress and build resilience through various tools and techniques. I've rewired my brain, breaking free from old patterns. While I may look "normal" on the outside, my journey has left its marks.
