I love canned cucumbers . It's been a favourite dish of mine since I was a child. I remember my grandmother making my favourite cucumbers using her secret recipe as a child. It was very tasty. I don't like to buy canned goods in shops. I have a hunch that the canned food sold in shops is very unhealthy. My grandmother always used canning salt . I didn't know that salt plays an important role in canning. The main reason to use table salt in canning is to improve taste. For recipes that are not pickled or dried, salt may not be added for people on a low-salt diet. Do not use salt substitutes when canning. They can change the colour or taste of the food. They can also give the liquid/food in the jars a cloudy appearance.
