I have been reading about family laws in Canada and came across this website: https://www.stephendurbinandassociates.com/legal/. The site mentions the Family Law Act of Canada. As per the source, the Act says that it entitles every married person to an equalization of the net family property upon the dissolution of their marriage. The Canadian family law believes that marriage is a partnership, the profits of which should be equally divided upon separation. Is it applicable in all cases? What are your thoughts about this?
