The Kenya Lionesses intend to approach this weekend's Roma Sevens with caution taking one game at a time.

Head Coach Mike Shamiah said they have learnt a lot since their qualification for the Games in Rio and will be seeking further proof of their preparedness at the Italian capital.

The team has been camping in France at the Clermont-Ferrand camp courtesy of World Rugby.

NAIROBI, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Boxing promoters in Kenya will have to deposit prize money with the Kenya Professional Boxing Commission (KPBC) before getting the license to stage professional boxing bouts, officials said on Sunday.

KPBC said it has enacted the stringent rule to tame dubious promoters Nike AirHuarache White , some of them has been the bane of many boxers by disappearing with the pugilists' purse.

According to KPBC chairman Hillary Alila, the commission is aiming at promoting the welfare of boxers as a way of reviving boxing in the country.

""Rogue promoters have in the past taken off with boxers' money after bouts and KPBC will ensure that this does not happen again because the commission is mandated to protect the welfare of boxers,"" Alila said.

The chairman made the remarks in Nairobi during the unveiling of nominated Member of Parliament Nike Air Huarache Black , Johnson Sakaja, as patron of KPBC who replaces Reuben Ndolo who is vying for presidency of the Commonwealth Boxing Commission.

Ndolo, who was patron of the Commission for more than a decade is currently traversing Europe on the campaign trail.
