Diablo Immortal will also feature gamepad support

  • Fergusson confirms that the Diablo Immortal team is going to pay attentively to PC players' response to the control system when the beta launches June 2. But in addition to the traditional mouse-driven interface Diablo games have been using for decades D2R Ladder Items, Immortal is throwing in some additional options that are available to computer players. One is a WASD movement schemethat substitutes the left-click to-move method of the previous games in the series for direct control of movement.

"WASD was initially created as an manifestation of Diablo Immortal being an entirely mobile game," Joe Grubb, Immortal's lead game designer tells us. "In mobile it's your direct control of your character's capabilities and skills can be unleashed when you're moving. It's much smoother to be able to interact with that."

"Direct control has this immersive element to it," Fergusson adds. "When you're playing with mouse click - - which is indeed there! It's like you're a benign god floating around your persona, saying 'go there, go there, do this do that, do that. '"

Diablo Immortal will also feature gamepad support. It was first introduced in Diablo as a console-based version of Diablo 3. Fergusson claimed that his initial experience playing the Diablo 3 version was what got him excited to add that attribute in Diablo 2: Resurrected, and now it's being made available on Buy Diablo 2 Resurrected Items both the PC and mobile versions Diablo Immortal.
