  A former page 3 girl who now makes a living on OnlyFans has opened up about the start of her modelling career, and revealed the cheeky reason her posh grandma wasn’t upset about her work.

  Linsey Dawn McKenzie was one of the UK’s most prominent models during the height of the page 3 era, attracting front page coverage for her looks, as well as for her affair with footballer Dean Holdsworth.

  The glamour model first decided to become a model before she was even 16, and began modelling topless once she’d passed the legal requirement, which has since been raised to 18

  Now 44 years old and making a living from OnlyFans, Linsey reflected on the worries she felt when she first entered into the modelling business as a 16-year-old.

  “The countdown, that was the really exciting part to the whole start,” she recalled fondly while speaking on the Tanya Tate Presents podcast. “I remember that morning knowing that I was about to walk into a shop and see my face on the front of a newspaper.

  “I was like, wow, really worried, really scared…it was a really surreal kind of wait. I really wanted to go down in the early hours of the morning to the 7/11 and get it because I couldn’t sleep all night.”
  Part of her concern, Linsey explained, arose from a fear about what her well-to-do family members might think of her career choice.

  She continued: “I come from quite an old-fashioned family; my grandparents were diplomats in Egypt, my nan is a very posh lady, very conservative, and I didn’t want to upset anybody by doing what I was doing.

  “Funnily enough, she was really proud, and it didn’t matter that it was topless modelling, she didn’t really care in the end.”
  In fact, Linsey admitted that she may have uncovered an unusual reason why her grandma didn’t mind her line of work.

  During the early stages of her career, Linsey worked with a troop of male strip-tease performers, and she described how her nan may have taken a fancy to one of the muscular members.
  “We got really friendly with these guys, and I said, ‘look, my nan just loves lovely looking men’,” she laughed.
