Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has confirmed he will leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season. This news was conveyed by the Blues manager Thomas Tuchel after his team's victory over West Ham on Sunday (4/24/2022).
“(About) Toni, the media is talking about it. His situation indicates that he wants to leave the club. He told this a few days ago through a private conversation," said Tuchel on Sunday (4/24/2022) as reported by Metro.
Rudiger's agent has reportedly held talks with a number of top clubs regarding a potential summer transfer. However, recent reports claim the player chose to verbally agree a contract with La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Real Madrid's rivals Barcelona have also actually been linked with a move for Rudiger. Director of Football Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff even held a meeting with representatives of Rudiger at a hotel in Barcelona at the end of March.
