Real Madrid fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Their two important players, Luka Modric and Vinicius Jr. will soon extend their contracts at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Luka Modric and Vinicius were key players who made Real Madrid achieve great results this season. Including when the club nicknamed Los Merengues met Chelsea in the Champions League.
Despite not producing goals, both were active and had a hand behind Real Madrid's success in beating Chelsea with an aggregate score of 5-4. Both Modric and Vini were involved in the scoring process.
Modric provided assists to Karim Benzema in the first leg and Rodrygo Goes in the second. While the two assists contributed by Vinicius in each match were addressed to Benzema.
Thanks to these assists, Real Madrid can advance to the semifinals. This further proves their important role and Los Merengues have not been able to move on from both of them, especially Modric, who is no longer young.
Please note that Modric's contract with Real Madrid is only valid until 2022. And because of the bossman's ruling, the Croatian man can actually bind himself in the form of a pre-contract with another club.
But Luka Modric doesn't seem interested in changing uniforms anytime soon. This could be a sign that he is interested in increasing his tenure at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Dipper, Real Madrid is reportedly preparing a new proposal for him. Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the club will meet with Modric in May to discuss a new contract.
