Primobolan Depot is an injectable form of methenolone. It is exactly the same compound that is included in Primobolan tablets (methenolone acetate). Both drugs are produced by the Schering concern. The injection version, in the form of enanthate, ensures a slow and even action of the agent. The duration of action and concentration levels will be reasonably similar to that of Testosterone Enanthate, remaining elevated for up to 2 weeks. Methenolone is a long-acting steroid with virtually no androgenic properties. The anabolic effect is considered to be slightly weaker than the popular Deca-Durabolin. Therefore, Primobolan is most often used during the pre-competition definition period, when increasing muscle mass is not the most important goal. Some bodybuilders, however, combine it with agents that increase muscle mass – with Dianabol, Anadrol or Testosterone. Mostly, however, to lower the required dose of androgens, minimizing the risk of side effects. When considering the choice between Depot and tablets, it is better to choose the former, it is definitely more effective compared to the costs of the treatment.
Primobolan does not convert to estrogens at all, so it does not show the side effects typical for them. Even very vulnerable users shouldn’t worry about them. The muscle mass gained on Primobolan is always of high quality, without unnecessary water retention. Increased blood pressure is also rarely seen, related to e.g. just with estrogens and retention. Moderate doses of 100 – 200 mg per week should not disturb the functions of the hypothalamic-pituitary-testes axis, to the extent that it is done by injectable nandrolones or testosterones. However, higher doses may cause this phenomenon, so appropriate treatments after the end of the treatment will be necessary.
