Light Sofa in Different Interiors

    If you go to any upholstered furniture store, you will definitely find a couple of sofa in light colours. This has already become a classic, which explains the huge popularity of white upholstered furniture. Many people believe that the white colour has outlived its usefulness, that it is a relic of the past that should be abandoned.

    "Experts" in one voice shout that if a designer resorts to using a light sofa in the interior, then this is a bad designer, because he focuses on the classics, and not on the modern style. But wait a minute, Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, Rachmaninoff's Concerto No. 2, or old French wine are also classics, and they're all highly regarded. What then is the classic upholstered furniture worse? But nothing!

    Advantages and disadvantages of light sofa

    No one argues: white sofa has its drawbacks, the main one being impracticality. Such furniture gets dirty almost every day, so you have to clean it often. Sometimes even dry cleaning is required, which costs money – no one can argue with this. But this is where the disadvantages end and the advantages begin:

    1. White is a universal colour that doesn't annoy anyone;
    2. A light tone is visually soft and beneficial from a visual point of view: it increases the space, while black reduces it. Therefore, the light tone of upholstered furniture is better suited for small spaces;
    3. Light can be used in any interior style: classic, minimalism, modern or high-tech. With the right choice of sofa, you can fit it anywhere.

    Interiors with light sofa

    Below we have made a selection of excellent examples of the use of light upholstered furniture in the interiors of different rooms:

    A classic. This is a bright interior, made in a classic style, where a small sofa with an elegant table fits laconically. Does anyone have the heart to say that this is a bad interior? Of course not. It is made in the best traditions of the classics, and every piece of furniture is in its place, including a light sofa.

    This is also a classic, but, unlike the first photo, here the preference is given to modernity. It is customary to call this solution a modern classic, but personally, I really want to call this interior minimalistic (see furniture in the style of minimalism). Please note: although the room is small, it does not seem so due to the light tones and a large amount of light.

    The most that neither is MINIMALISM in its best embodiment. A light sofa with strict geometry and green flecks fits perfectly into the designer's idea: this is an incredibly good project that I wanted to implement at home.

    This light sofa is rather a sofa in a minimalistic interior. And again: the space is small, but visually the room seems quite spacious. This is exactly the advantage of the sofa, which was discussed above.

    This corner recliner sofa perfectly matches the black armchair next to it. Yes, the combination of white and black colours is sometimes very appropriate, and this design is a confirmation. And a little more minimalism for connoisseurs:

    Color Combination

    Light – universal tone. It goes well with different colours: yellow, orange, green, etc. We have already considered the combination of a white sofa with a green colour (there is a photo above), so below we will present interiors with other unusual solutions.:

    White and yellow are friends, and this photo is proof of that. If you implement a bright interior, put a white sofa in it and add yellow inclusions in the form of an armchair, table and pillows, it will turn out very stylish and unusual. Similar solutions apply to other colours, such as red:
